Trip - (Part 10) Fun at the Hub

It was nice how well the day was going. I had been worried that we would have to attack the park "Commando" style, and run from place to place. "Oh, the park is going to be too big and there's no way we will be able to do it all." By now we had been in the park for roughly 40 minutes, and we were having a great time just moving around at a slower pace. We were taking it all in, and just enjoying ourselves. I think that it's the only way to visit these parks. Sometimes it's more than just the rides - it's the atmosphere, the surroundings. Just being placed inside of this "bubble" where everything around you has been expertly placed in order to dazzle you is enough. That should be just as thrilling as any ride, no?

We strolled up Main Street; our bellies full, our hopes high. Up ahead, a trolley car sat in the midst of a small performance. Several cast members danced to a ragtime tune - singing, dancing, and twirling about.

I turned around and caught my first glimpse over the Main Street Plaza gardens and into Tomorrowland.

Before we knew it we were there: The Central Hub. It's the area at the middle of the park, right in front of the castle. It acts as a "Wheel and Spoke" (think bicycle wheel) where you can easily branch off into differently themed sections of the park. At this very center is a statue of Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse. It really makes a great photo.

There was a Disney PhotoPass cast member nearby. Ana asked him, "Excuse me, can we get a picture?" To which he replied, "SURE!" He put his arm around her and said, "where's the camera?" Ana, at a loss for words, erupted in laughter.

We can check that picture off our "things to do at the Magic Kingdom", but...where should we go from here?

Fantasyland? Tomorrowland? Frontierland maybe? Hrm...

Ahhhhhhh!
